When it comes to making the perfect coffee, there are many different types, styles, and methods that can be used to achieve the right brew. Each person has their own preference on how they like their hot drinks and in many varieties of coffee that involves getting the right amount of milk foam! But, how do you achieve the right amount of milk foam based on what the coffee is and personal preference? That’s what we are going to be looking at in this article, so if you want to know more, keep reading!

What Coffee Do You Like?

To correctly create foam from milk, you are going to need the right kind of equipment but it all depends on the type of coffee that you want to how much foam your caffeinated drink needs. For example, if you are someone who loves an Americano, you aren’t going to need any foam at all. But, if you want a sweet-tasting latte, then the correct amount of foam is going to be necessary to get the right flavor for your drink. Or, if you are someone who loves espresso, then you will be expecting a layer of foam across the top of your glass! Each coffee has a different requirement when it comes to foam, meaning they are all made differently, but here at Purc, we can cater to all of your coffee needs and preferences.

Methods

Like we said above, different varieties of coffee will have varying amounts of foam when prepared properly, which means that you might need to use different equipment to reach the desired amount. We use steam from a steam wand to make sure that the milk is hot so that it doesn’t bring down the overall temperature of the milk, and the arm blows the steam into the milk to froth it all up! Here at Purc, we know exactly what needs to be done to get the right consistency for all kinds of drinks. This is an excellent choice if you are looking for a cappuccino which has dense foam for all to enjoy! However, if you want a latte, then this is known for being milky without having too much foam, and the milk needs to be steamed for a smaller amount of time.

Temperatures

In order to ensure that the milk is the right temperature, a thermometer is going to be necessary! That is because milk boils at 212 degrees and you don’t want to be scolding your tongue because you haven’t checked the temperature before drinking. So, ideally, for a latte or a cappuccino, you want to be looking at somewhere between 139 and 158 degrees for your ideal temperature. Foaming correctly has a lot to do with temperature and here at Purc Coffee, we can make sure that you have the drink that you love, with just the right amount of foam!
